On 21 & 22 January 2011, we had went to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Infant Jesus Convent School in Melaka.
Arriving in the school was already a great experience in itself. At first sight we wasn’t so at ease while walking along the corridor and crossing all those girls in uniform asking themselves what we was doing here. But after the workshop started and the ice broken, we had a great exchange with those girls.
The first workshop in this school was a good training for the becoming ones. The presentation was good but the most impressed was still the cartoon video. we were happy to see their basic knowledge about the environment and that we could still teach them a lot of things about sustainability.

This workshop was totally different and for sure very challenging. Indeed, we had to conduct a presentation in front of more than 150 students. But here the microphone was more than necessary and we need to make sure the audience can listen to what we were saying was more complicated. But, still, speaking in front of such an audience is a great experience and you realize how your project can be impacted by others.
On the next day and this is also the last workshop in Malacca’s school was the most successful. Provided with more time, we had the opportunity to interact more and do some more cultural sharing. Not shy at all, the girls didn’t hesitate to ask very different kind of question. We had also the chance to promote deeply the MYC (Miracle Youth Conference) that will hold in early June in order to raise as many participants as possible to make this event a great success.
We will definitely keep an unforgettable memory of this school. The atmosphere there, the respect and complicity between students and teachers, the welcome that we received will stay in our mind. The best thing of this experience is that it is more an exchange than simple presentations; you try to share ideas with them about issues that concern you but they give you so much in return that you go back with more than with what you arrived.
