About MIRACLE


MIRACLE Project 
Malaysian Interactive Cultural Learning Experience (MIRACLE) is a fully student-run, not-for-profit project by AIESEC in University Putra Malaysia (UPM)  . It was initiated by AIESEC UPM in the year 2004.Every year , AIESEC in UPM has brought in foreign university students through our global AIESEC network to come to Malaysia and do a voluntary work in our project .
MIRACLE ’s prime objectives
  • To create environmental consciousness among Malaysian youth
  • To create awareness on environmental issues which is essential in promoting a healthy lifestyle thus giving the future generation a better place to live in
  • To create international understanding through the AIESEC network



Interactive School Pragram (ISP)  January – December 2011

ISP is one of the program runs under MIRACLE project. It is a program which involves secondary schools students and kids in shelter homes in Malaysia. It is a program where international trainees will go to the secondary schools to create awareness of environmental issues. This is to empower youth with the knowledge to bring about a positive impact on the environment .

 

Tetra Pack Recycling Contest on 4th -15th April 2011

Tetra Pack Recycling contest is opened to all students of Universiti Putra Malaysia. The aim of this contest is to encourage the retrieval of used tetra packs to REUSE, RECYCLE and RECOVER . In the end of the contest , we believe we would be able to promote the Tetra Pack Recycling concept to youth . 




MIRACLE Youth Conference (MYC) on 2nd - 6th June

200 ambitious, passionate and innovative youth age between 15 to 21 years from different state in Malaysia and International students as 5 days 4 nights conference candidate. Besides learning about the environmental issues, they came up with the mission to improve self development and to create international understanding through the AIESEC network.



BMS Organics Act Green Day on 5th June

In conjunction with World Environmental Day, “BMS Organics Act Green Event” is slated to be held on the 5th of June 2011. The BMS Organics Act Green Event is opened to the public community and will take place in Sungei Wang Plaza. The day will be filled with interesting and astounding activities relevant to environment issues .

  • Coloring and drawing contests – Theme of the contests is “What does Green Earth means to You ”
  • Pledge card photo –We will take the photos of the public by holding a pledge card with the environmental friendly . The picture will then be uploaded in MIRACLE  fan page
  • Green model show –Representatives of the delegates from the MIRACLE Youth Conference will be dressed up with clothes made by recycled material and will proceed as a roving team in the shopping plaza to spread the awareness. Public community can show  their support by voting for the Green Model by just signing on the paper board. The one who receives the most signatures will be announce as the winner
  • Recycle and reward campaign – Booths will be set up and free gifts will be given to the public candidates who contribute the recyclable materials on the spot .

Since January 2011, we have:  
  • Achieved 30 workshops held in 4 states across Malaysia
  • Educated 2016 people about Environmental Issues
  • 152 delegates of MIRACLE Youth Conference from different states in Malaysia
  • Successfully presented workshops in 18 universities/colleges and schools
  •  Volunteered in 7 local NGOs and shelters
  • 18 exchanges delivered

HOPE project is a fully student-run, not-for-profit project by AIESEC in Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) .HOPE project was established through a partnership between AIESEC and Standard Chartered Bank. The specific aim of the project is to educate and increase the awareness among member of general public about HIV/AIDS and to influence a behavioural change among young people that will result in a reduction in the number of HIV/AIDS cases among young people in Malaysia .
